Congratulations to all of our students on their acceptances to the NYSSMA Zone 8 Area All-State Music Festival!

Four Senior High Chorus members (Katie-Alto 1, Christian-Bass 1, and Jon-Bass 2) were accepted to the NYSSMA Zone 8 Area All-State Mixed Chorus. Rachel-Alto 2 will represent RCS in the Women's Chorus. All of the student acceptances were based on their very successful NYSSMA Solo Adjudications in Norwich last May. The festival will be held at SUCO in Oneonta November 20th and 21st. Great job!

This is to inform you that your child's class will be performing in the annual Elementary
Winter Concert which will be held Monday, December 7^th at 7:00 p.m. in the R.C.S. Auditorium.
Grades K-6 will be participating. Students should report to their assigned room at 6:45 p.m.
(Elementary Band – 6:30 p.m. in Band Room) - PLEASE, NO EARLIER! We anticipate the
concert length to be about one hour.

Students are asked to wear nice school clothes — girls, skirts, dresses, or dressy pants;
boys, pants and shirts (optional: tie, vest or jacket). Seasonal colors would be great!

In order to do the best performance possible, we ask that every child attend. Participation
in the concert is an important part of your child's learning experience, so please plan to attend
and enjoy the performance!
