  • Tech club is a place where students can explore their creativity while learning about safety in the shop.

Before any building can take place, students must learn the safety rules of the shop. Students must also learn how to safely use the tools and equipment in shop.

Once students have displayed an understanding of the safety rules, they can begin building projects. Projects from previous years have included making pens, signs, tool boxes, just to name a few.

Any interested students should contact Mr. McCarthy for more information.

  • eSports is competitive video gaming. As with any sport, there are rules the competitors need to follow. RCS eSports focuses on the gaming system Nintendo Switch. eSports is for students in grades 7-12. If you have any questions regarding eSports, you can contact Mrs. Peters.

  • The SAVE Club stand for Students Against Violence Everywhere; the goal is to empower young leaders to take an active role in increasing belonging and preventing violence in their schools and communities. Overseen by the Sandy Hook Promise National Youth Empowerment Board supports our student leaders to help give ideas on planning events, activities, and projects that help raise awareness of risk factors like bullying and social isolation, and promote kindness, respect and belonging.

In the 2026-2027 school year, our Club will put on events such as: Pizza & Pumpkins (positive messages on pumpkins to decorate the school); Thankful Station; Hot Cocoa Bar, and Cooperative Teamwork Field Day in addition to the nation events of: Start with Hello; Say Something Week; and No One Eats Alone Day.

Every SAVE Promise Club is centered around the four E’s:

    • Educating: Young people learn from each other about how to create a welcoming school climate that looks out for one another through activities, events, and projects that promote kindness.
    • Empowering: Club members build the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service to their community and school.
    • Engaging: SAVE Promise Clubs engage students in meaningful violence prevention efforts within their school and community.
    • Encouraging: Youth leadership encourages positive peer influences within the school and community through shared violence prevention efforts.
