There will be a special meeting of the Board of Education on Monday November 21st at 6:30 pm. The purpose of this meeting will be to appoint Dr. Joanne Shelmidine as Deputy and Interim Superintendent from December 1 through June 30.
Joanne was the Superintendent in New York Mills prior to her retirement in September. She also served in administrative roles in the Sandy Creek and Remsen school districts; was the director of curriculum in the Westmoreland school district; and the director of alternative education for Herkimer BOCES. Joanne is a certified English teacher.
Dr. Shelmidine will be in attendance at the special board meeting and will be spending some time in the building on Tuesday November 22.
