Due to a private matter, today's Varsity Baseball game has been cancelled with a rescheduled date TBD. There will be no practice.

Too Good for Drugs program (ADAC)

There will be a home double-header Tennis match on Monday, 4/24 against Charlotte Valley and Margaretville at 4PM. Roxbury will play 1 match against CV and 1 match against Margaretville. This will change the away match against Margaretville the next day, 4/25, back to a single match, not a double-header.

A reminder to please take a moment and fill out the BOE survey regarding District Goals. The Board is seeking your opinion on what goals to set for the district moving forward. The survey is anonymous, and closes on April 28th. The survey is available on the district website. Paper copies are also available in the Main Office.

The girls Modified Softball game scheduled for 4/28 has been cancelled due to umpire shortages.

The Varsity Softball game that was cancelled for today vs. Gilboa has been rescheduled for May 10th at 4:15. A Varsity Softball game @ Schenevus has been added for this coming Tuesday, 4/18, at 4:30. Both the Baseball and Softball team will be traveling together and playing at the same time.

Today's softball game at Davenport has been cancelled.

Tonight's Varsity Softball game at Charlotte Valley has been cancelled. Practice will be at 3. Tomorrow's Varsity Softball game at Gilboa has also been cancelled. Practice TBD.

The Modified Softball game originally scheduled for this Saturday, 4/15, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 4/25 at 4:15. It still remains home.

A reminder that there will be no CROP on Thursday April 13 due to CROP training. Homework help will be self transport for that day.

A reminder that all students will be released at 11:30 today, not 12:00 like our usual half days.

The Tennis match scheduled for Friday (4/14) has been moved to tomorrow's match to create a double-header against Stamford/Jefferson. It will remain a home match starting at 4:00.

The Tennis match scheduled for tomorrow has also been cancelled and moved to Wednesday at 4:00. It is a home match. The Varsity Baseball game tomorrow has been rescheduled to Wednesday at 4:15 at Charlotte Valley. The Varsity Softball game tomorrow has been rescheduled as well, to Thursday at 4:15 at Charlotte Valley. These are all subject to change.

Dear Roxbury Family: As you may be aware, our community, our families, have been impacted by the sudden passing of someone who was dear to so many. We are grateful to the Charlotte Valley and Andes Central School Districts who are assisting with counseling support for our students and staff. With so many of our staff and students wanting to attend services, and our commitment to allow staff to grieve as a group with their families and friends, we will be dismissing school tomorrow, April 11, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. following lunches. After school activities, such as CROP will be canceled as well. Mr. Ludwin, our Athletic Director, is attempting to reschedule the Varsity Softball and Baseball games. Mr. Funck and Ms. Ware will communicate all information to their respective teams. The Board of Education meeting scheduled for tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. in the Chorus room will continue as scheduled. The reception to welcome Ms. Stacy Ward to the Roxbury district, the finalist as the next Superintendent of School, is also continuing as scheduled at 6:30 p.m., also in the Chorus room. The Board of Education is pleased to announce its intent to appoint Ms. Stacy Ward as Superintendent of Schools at our regular Board of Education meeting on April 11th. Ms. Ward has the experience and skills to successfully lead the district through the next years. There will be a reception to greet Stacy beginning at 6:30 on April 11. Please stop by to say hello.

There are two scheduled sporting events over break: April 5th there is a home baseball game vs. South Kortright @ 12pm April 6th there is an away baseball game vs. Gilboa @ 10am

As we examine our procedures regarding the law enforcement issue that occurred last evening behind the school, we recognize that our safety plan needs to be expanded to better address issues that occur after school. That will be the priority for our next safety team meeting.

Due to expected cold weather, tomorrow's Varsity Baseball game has been postponed.
