• One-Year Teacher Aide Positions: 3 Teacher Aide positions at a rate of $16.78/hr with benefits as per the CSEA contract starting September 3, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

📢 Please take note: PreK and Kindergarten Orientation has changed from 9am to 8:30am on Wednesday, August 28th. Please bring any paperwork associated with registration and/or the nurse, if applicable. During our orientation time, you will be able to see your child's classroom space and meet the teacher, as well as practice riding the bus AND enjoy a snack from our cafeteria. Ahoy, mateys! The RCS Summer Drama Club, made up of our summer CROP students, will be presenting "Pirates!", written by Joshua Mikel, on Thursday, August 1, 2024. There is no charge for the performance. Come on out for a fun show and to support our students!

A reminder that our free breakfast and lunch program has been extended to include July! All students attending summer programs can eat free of charge. See the attached menu for next week's offerings.

Greg Muehl will be offering review classes for any student who would like to re-take the Geometry regents which takes place on Tuesday, August 20th at 12 noon. The review classes will take place from 9:00 – 10:45 AM and his schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, July 17th through Friday, July 19th
Tuesday July 23rd through Friday, July 26th
Tuesday, July 30th through Friday, August 2nd
Tuesday, August 6th through Friday, August 9th
Tuesday, August 13th through Friday, August 16th

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Roxbury Board of Education will be holding public hearings on the RCS Code of Conduct and the RCS Building Level Emergency Plan on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM, followed by the regular July BOE Meeting.
Moving Up Day is tomorrow morning at 8:30. All students will be dismissed with their parents after the ceremony. Please contact the school if you will not be attending and your child will need to ride the bus home. Bus time will be approximately 10:00.

Congratulations to these four amazing individuals who are retiring in a few short days! They have had a huge impact on Roxbury Central School and our students. Thank you for everything and we wish you the best of luck in your next chapter!

Tomorrow, June 21st through Tuesday, June 25th are half-days for our students grades PK-6. Lunch will be served prior to the noon dismissal. Moving Up Day will be on the 26th at 8:30 AM, with dismissal at the end of the ceremony.
Field Day is tomorrow, Tuesday June 18th! We are looking at adding some water activities outside, so feel free to send extra clothing or towels with your child if you would like.
Congratulations to Aurora Stingel who has her piece, "Breaking the Color Barrier" exhibited in the Fenimore Art Museum's Young at Art : Regional Youth Art Content. Aurora's piece was one of 42 selected from 387 entries!!


RCS is hosting our final Elementary Rocket Pride tomorrow, Friday, 6/14 at 8:15am. Families who plan to attend are welcome to come in to eat breakfast with their student(s) in the cafeteria! We can't wait to see you there!

All Chromebooks, chargers and cases for grades 7-12 need to be turned in by the end of the day on Thursday, June 13th. The IT department is conducting a full inventory and needs ALL Chromebooks turned in. Students who have summer school will be given a Chromebook to use when they come in. Please have students return their Chromebooks to Mrs. Oakes in Room 206 by the end of the day on Thursday the 13th.
Last night was a fabulous night celebrating our athletes. A special congratulations to our senior athletes and Coach Ware. It has been a fabulous year for athletics.
